This item needs a bit of explanation:

This fruit belongs to the family of cucurbitaceous (marrows, zucchinis, pumpkins) and is cultivated in the Hungarian vineyards. It is perforated at both ends, emptied and dried. It is used in the villages to take  wine out of a barrel. The process is as follows: one puts the narrowest end in a barrel and sucks up the wine. Then, by plugging the upper hole, the wine is maintained inside. Then it’s nothing more than to remove your finger from the upper hole to poor the wine into a carafe or glasses. The Hungarians call it the thief-zucchini .
